How we’re handling COVID-19 Coronavirus and our current hours of operation

March 12, 2020 By Amanda Cavitt

We wanted to update everyone on how the Bistro is continuing to carry forward best practices in regards to the spread of illness.

Latest Update: 2020-03-16. #CarryOutCarryOn

We’re scaling back, as mandated by the state. Carry outs, Walk-In orders, Take-Outs, and “Portside Pickup,” a curbside pick-up option including pre-ordering options. Details soon to follow.

Below is the letter we sent to our Facebok fans regarding the forthcoming updates:

Update: 2020-03-16. Afternoon.

In short, we are considering Take-out / Carry-out options in light of the latest news. More to come:

Within a couple hours of update this morning, OPB.org – among others- posted the following:

Oregon Gov. Kate Brown announced Monday she is closing the state’s bars and restaurants and banning gatherings of more than 25 people, in the latest set of drastic actions meant to curb the spread of the coronavirus.

Restaurants can continue take-out and delivery options and the prohibition on gatherings will have an exemption for grocery stores and retail outlets. The ban starts Tuesday and is scheduled to last at least four weeks.

UPDATE: 2020-03-16. Morning.

As of this time, we’re still open. As of this writing, Gov. Brown hasn’t shut us, or our neighbors, down.

“in our rural communities, restaurants are a key provider of meals to a lot of the elderly and vulnerable folks …”

Oregon, Tillamook County, and the City of Garibaldi – which is designated rural urban – still continue to push for us to take precautions to further mitigate the spread. With that in mind, we’re working on solutions to better adhere to social distancing while still providing service to customers. We will be announcing those solutions and decisions within the next couple days.

Original Post, Since Updated:

As of right now we will remain open our usual hours and will adhere to all requirements and communication sent out by our Health Department and the Oregon Health Authority.
