After much consideration, contemplation, long days, and sleepless nights, we’ve decided to change our hours of operation.
Starting Wednesday, June 30th we’ll be shifting our hours to 11:30a -7p, Wednesday through Saturday.
The last few months have been an absolute blessing with the amount of traffic coming through our door. The downside is we currently do not have the capacity to meet the incoming needs.
The issue folds out into two parts:
- Like nearly every other restaurant and small business on the coast, despite our best efforts, we, as of yet, do not have enough staff to meet demand. We hope that changes soon, but at the moment, the thread on Team Bistro is wearing thin, ourselves included. We just don’t feel as though we can ask our team to keep going over and beyond without being absolutely certain we can see the light at the end of the tunnel.
- As we wrote last year, the entire restaurant industry, like so many other industries, continues to be hit hard with supply shortages as a result of labor shortages. We believe that like our fellow Oregon Coast restaurants, will be challenged by escalating product cost and availability for quite some time. I’m sure you all noticed our slimmed down menu missing many of your favorite items.
Why now:
We’re making this decision to support our current staff that has been working tirelessly, filling in the gaps where we could use additional staff.
We’re making this decision for our own family, who has put everything into this dream and want to continue seeing it thrive.
We’re making this decision for our customers’ experience. Bistro Nation deserves our best effort.
We hope this is just a temporary change and that soon we will be able to get back to our normal hours, maybe even expand them!
