What started as a quick, 3-month patch & go turned into a full-out, 11-month gut-to-stud remodeling of the historic Oregon Coast building better known by locals as The Troller. Luckily, “tomorrow” finally came.
We’re [mostly] fully-in moved. Here’s the address:
We are currently running a Soft Open with a soft-open menu.
We now have fries.
What is a “Soft Open?”
Traditionally, a Soft Open is when a location (restaurant, hotel, casino…) loosely opens their doors and runs a live stress test on their business. That location casually notifies a few family members & friends & etc. so they can come in, dine, and give feedback on the experience.
Our Invite List = whoever comes through the door. 🙂
The menu is often limited to the location’s staples so the staff can ease into their routines.
Once all the kinks are worked out and everything is purring, the location announces their Grand Opening and gears up for the live show.
The Soft Open is often as exhilarating as it is stressful, but is often well worth it in the end.
Thank you to everyone for your patience to this point as we conduct our [Soft] Open.
We’ve never performed a day-to-day operation at this location before. It’s going to take us a little time to sort out how each nook & cranny works together.
Big ‘Thank-You’ & shout outs still to come for everyone who helped make this day a reality.
Without y’all, we wouldn’t have made it through the sweat & tears & injuries, mountains of demo piles, hundreds of yards of reclaimed lumber discovered behind the walls, numerous replaced & repaired floor trusses, towering stacks of drywall & FRP & diamond plates, a gross gallon or two of paint, and so many other crucial details still caught within in the whirlwind of activity for us to clearly recall.
We’ll start the shout outs to our customers, family, friends, neighbors, the City of Garibaldi, the Port of Garibaldi, and the Oregon Coast community, and develop a better list later.
Once, again, Thank You.
Next step: The Grand Opening
We’ll keep you posted.
