At the time of this initial posting, there is one question that understandably dominates our customer conversations:
When are you going to open up the dining room for sit-down eating?
– Everyone, understandably
Trust us, nobody wants our sit-down eating spaces opened more than us. We didn’t spend 11 months running two locations while bootstrapping a gut-to-studs renovation of our new Port of Garibaldi location just to stare at the craftsmanship.
Well, our neighbor Finn, who helped in chunks, probably held out feigned hope that simply staring at the craftsmanship was the plan so he’d have a quiet place to write, but that’s another story (unintended pun).
– We love you, Finn & Katie
Prattling aside…here’s our answer to the sit-down eating question:
Like the state of Oregon, we’re reopening the areas in phases:
- Phase 1: Re-open outdoor dining with added covering & heating
- Phase 2: Socially distance the indoor dining during Oregon’s phased re-openings
Phase 1 is ready
It’s been a work in progress just like everything else right now, but we can proudly announce our patio is open! Check it out:
As you can see, it’s cozy. There are covered and opened spaces out here. We even have a heater on the North end. And we continue to adorn the space with Bistro-esque accoutrements.
Here are the Suggested Patio Guidelines:
- Each party should remainder 6′ apart.
- Groups of 10 people or under.
- We are asking guests to throw their garbage away and notify staff when they are done so the table can be sanitized.
- And, at this time pets are not allowed.
Phase 2 is still under construction
Our dining room is still closed, but now you can sit and enjoy the waterfront view while eating a TriTip melt and drinking a Ft. George Beer.
We appreciate everyone’s patience while we carefully plan our reopening to dine in.
We renovated the Port of Garibaldi location with the thought of bringing people together, not keeping them apart. We’re working on finding that safe, healthy, yet joyful happy medium.
We’ll keep you posted! If you haven’t already done so, sign up for our Meat the Sea Fanclub below to be among the first to hear when the Dining room is open.
